Flag Master v1.1 has just been uploaded to the iPhone App Store for review.

It now makes finding a flag easier by including an alphabetical index for all screens that display a list of flags!

Flag Master is a simple iPhone application that allows you to explore international flags.

Australian Postcodes v1.1 is now available for your download from the App Store!

We are now ready to release version 1.1 of Australian Postcodes to the iPhone App Store.

We have re-developed it from the ground up to provide a more stable base for ongoing development. Sadly, ’sounds-like’ searching bit the dust on the way through.

The features that did make it are:

• Search - find postcodes by place name or by postcode
• Correct Case Capitalisation - place names are no longer in ALL CAPITALS
• Google Maps integration - view where a postcode is located on a map
• Bookmarking - save your favourite postcode entries to a bookmarks page for quick reference
• Delivery Area vs. Post Office Boxes - view whether a postcode is for post boxes only or for an actual physical location.

We’ll let you know when the update is ready to be downloaded from the iPhone App Store.

From the comments in the App Store, the most popular new features being requested are:

• The ability to bookmark frequently used postcodes
• Links to Google Maps to show the locations of postcodes
• Live search

When we released it, we thought the following features would be popular in the future:

• ‘Sounds like’ searching for locality names
• Indicators for delivery-area vs postbox postcodes
• Location awareness - ‘What postcode am I in now?’

Australian Postcodes is a simple iPhone application that allows you to search for Australian postcode information.

Version 1.0 of the application allows you to search by state, postcode or the first part of the locality name. For example, a search for “Syd” would return:

Once we gain acceptance to Apple’s iPhone developer program, we will be testing and subsequently distributing our first iPhone application.
